TWO SECTIONS – OPEN AND RBO

(RBO means Rated Beginner Open; which is Unrated or Rated under 1200)

Membership in the U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) is a requirement.  Please join USCF or renew your membership, if necessary, before the tournament.  See uschess.org.

Registration, 2/29: 8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.  One-half point bye if registered after 9:15 a.m.

Groups of 4 players or more must register in advance.

Advance entries, please check in before 9:30 a.m. in order to assure a pairing.

Round Times:  10:00 a.m.; 1:00 p.m.; 3:30 p.m.; 6:00 p.m.

ENTRY FEE:  $15 IN ADVANCE (by 2-28-2020); $20 at the site

PRIZES, OPEN SECTION: (1) FIRST PLACE IS A TRAVELING TROPHY, TO BE HELD BY THE WINNER FOR ONE YEAR AND THEN RETURNED FOR THE TOURNAMENT IN 2021.  (2) CHESS BOOKS WILL BE AWARDED AS CLASS PRIZES.

PRIZES, RBO SECTION:  TROPHIES TO FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD; BOOKS AS CLASS PRIZES

Both Sections:  A one-half point bye may be requested for any round, but only one such bye per player.
