one norm has to be scored in a 6-day event.

Playing Site: Embassy Suites Bloomington (2800 American Blvd West, Bloomington, MN 55431; 952-967-8710). $109 chess rate includes free breakfast, wifi, and overnight parking. Reserve early here.
Equipment: boards, sets and clocks are provided.
Schedule: FIDE rated 9-round Swiss held over six 6 days:
Round 1: August 19th at 7:00pm
Round 2: August 20th at 3:00pm
Round 3: August 21st at 10:00am
Round 4: August 21st at 4:00pm
Round 5: August 22nd at 10:00am
Round 6: August 22nd at 4:00pm
Round 7: August 23rd at 10:00am
Round 8: August 23rd at 4:00pm
Round 9: August 24th at 10:00am
Time Control: G/90 + 30 second increment
Prizes: $2,500-$2,000-$1,500-$1,000-$800-$700-$500, top U2400 FIDE $500, top U2200 FIDE $500; $100 any foreign federation player who pays the EF and plays all nine rounds.
Entry Fee: GMs, foreign IMs / WGMs free with no prize deduction ($50 deposit required, refunded after round 1), IMs / WGMs $220, FMs $260, FIDE 2100 & higher $290, FIDE U2100 $390; all $40 more after 7/19, $80 more after 8/14. $15 service charge for refunds.
