AN IAC GRAND PRIX TOUR EVENT!
Format: K-3, K-6 and K-12 divisions: USCF-rated,6 round Swiss. G30.
USCF Membership: USCF membership is required for all sections. Annual USCF membership fee ranges from $16-$32, depending on player’s age and membership choice. To facilitate on-site registration and check-in, it is recommended that USCF memberships be purchased or (if expired) renewed in advance at www.uschess.org. One-day USCF tournament memberships will also be available at the tournament for $7. Please arrive by 8:15 if you plan to purchase or renew a USCF membership at the tournament.
Awards:
K–3: Five Team Trophies. Individual trophies to top 10 players; place medals to 25th place; participation medals to all other K-3 players.
K–6: Five Team Trophies. Individual trophies to top 10 players; medals to 25thplace.
K-12: Five Team Trophies. Individual trophies to top 10 players; medals to 25th place.
Separate award ceremonies to begin following completion of final round.
Entry Fee: $12 per player for advance online registration; $18 for Saturday on-site registration.
Check In: Check-in from 7:45 to 8:45. Please check in as early as possible. Players not checked in by 8:45 will begin play in round 2. Round 1 begins at 9:30 or before. To receive reduced advance registration entry fee, register online at www.ia-chess.com/registration BEFORE 11:30 p.m. ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15th. The registration fee is to be paid at the tournament (cash or check only.) Make checks payable to: University School of Milwaukee.
Byes:Limit one half-point bye if requested before first round. No last round byes. Byes are irrevocable.
Chess Notation: Chess notation required in K-12 section and on top 10 boards in K-6 section.
Team Scores:Team scores will be determined by adding the scores of the top 4 players from the same school. Club teams will not be allowed.

Supervision: Players who are in K through 8th grade must have adult supervision present at the tournament at all times. USM and the IAC are unable to supervise players between rounds.
Bring: Pencils, chess sets andclocks if you have them. Chess sets available for purchase on site.
Lunch:Available for purchase on-site.
Tournament Directors: The Tournament Directors will be provided by the International Academy of Chess.
