Format: Four Round G/60d5 Swiss Tournament
Round Times: 10 AM, 1 PM, 3:30 PM, 6 PM | 1 Half Point Bye Allowed, Unlimited 0 Point Byes Allowed
Sections: Open, U1500 Reserve, U1000 Novice
Entry Fees: $15 for current university students, $30 by August 14, $45 regular, $60 on-site ($10 play-up fees charged for lower-rated players entering a higher-rated section)
Prizes: $1000 Prize Fund based on 80 entries (ties will mean prizes are split under USCF rules)
- $250 to Open 1st Place
- $125 to Open 2nd Place
- $75 to Open 3rd Place
- $60 to Top U1800/Unrated in Open
- $125 to U1500 1st Place
- $75 to U1500 2nd Place
- $50 to U1500 3rd Place
- $40 to Top U1200/Unrated in U1500 Reserve
- $100 to U1000 1st Place
- $50 to U1000 2nd Place
- $30 to U1000 3rd Place
- $20 to Top U600/Unrated in U1000 Novice
Refunds: Contact tournament organizer at least one day before the event. Entry fees less KingRegistration processing fees will be guaranteed refunded.
All minors attending must be accompanied by a supervising adult: a parent, a guardian, or a coach authorized by the minor’s school to supervise the minor. The supervising adult must remain with the minor at all times during the event, per UWM policy on Minor Protection & Adult Leadership.
