Guest rooms at the Holiday Inn -- which couldn't be easier to get to, at the intersection of I-43 and US-151, 4601 Calumet Ave. -- are only $99. Call (920) 682-6000 for reservations. Mention ‘Chess Tournament’. Room rate includes a full breakfast buffet... not just a "continental" breakfast... a full buffet with eggs, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, waffles, juice, milk, fruit, sausage, bacon... the works!

Eligibility
This event is open to all Wisconsin residents, former champions and students in WI schools. All entrants must be members of the US Chess Federation. US Chess membership may be purchased at the site. Wisconsin Chess Association membership is included in the entry. Our website address is www.wischess.org.
Three sections: Premier (1800 & above), Reserve (under 1800), and Novice (under 1200).
Under 1800 players may enter the Premier section by paying the "play up" entry fee (see below).

Registration, Schedule, and Time Control
3-day Schedule for Premier and Reserve:
- Register Friday, Aug. 16, from 4:30-5:30 PM
- You may register at King Registration
- 1st round is Friday, Aug. 16, at 6:00 PM
- 2nd and 3rd rounds on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- 4th and 5th rounds on Sunday, Aug. 18, at 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM
- Time control all rounds 40/90, SD/30 with 30 sec. increment beginning with move 1.
- One 1/2-point bye is available in the Premier or Reserve section in rounds 1, 2, 3, or 4 if requested in advance of the tournament.
2-day Schedule for Premier and Reserve:
- Register Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8:30-9:30 AM
- You may register at King Registration
- Rounds 1 and 2 on Saturday, Aug. 17, are at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Time control for rounds 1 & 2: G/90 with 5 second increment
- 3rd round at 6:00 PM Saturday
- Sunday, Aug. 18, rounds 4 & 5 at 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM
- Time control for rounds 3-5: 40/90, SD/30 with 30 sec. increment beginning with move 1
- One 1/2-point bye is available in the Premier or Reserve section in rounds 1, 2, 3, or 4 if requested in advance of the tournament.
1-day Schedule for Novice:
- Register Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8:30-9:30 AM
- You may register at King Registration
- 4-rounds on Saturday, Aug. 17: 10:00, 1:00, 3:30, and 6:00
- Time control all rounds: G/60 with 5 second delay.
