2025 WI State G/60 Championship

Presented in Conjunction Between the IAC and the UWM Chess Club

Date: September 13, 2025

Location: UWM Student Union, 2200 E Kenwood Bvld, Milwaukee, WI 53211. Playing all is the Union Ballroom (W195)

Format: Four Round G/60d5 Swiss Tournament

Round Times: 10 AM, 1 PM, 3:30 PM, 6 PM | 1 Half Point Bye Allowed, Unlimited 0 Point Byes Allowed

Sections: Open, U1500 Reserve, U1000 Novice

Entry Fees: Premier (1500+): $50 regular, $60 after 9/06, $65 on-site, Reserve (1000-1501): $40 regular, $50 after 9/06, $55 on-site Novice (U/1001): $35 regular, $45 after 9/06, $50 on-site. Premier/Reserve $10 play-up fee is assessed for lower-rated players entering stronger sections. UWM Students: Email This email address is being protected from spambots. Prizes: $1000 Prize Fund based on 100 entries (ties will mean prizes are split under USCF rules)

• $100 to U1000 1^st Place
• $50 to U1000 2^nd Place
• $30 to U1000 3^rd Place
• $20 to Top U600/Unrated in U1000 Novice

Please note that PayPal will be the preferred method of cash prize distribution, but we are able to write a check on-site as well if needed!

All minors attending must be accompanied by a supervising adult: a parent, a guardian, or a coach authorized by the minor’s school to supervise the minor. The supervising adult must remain with the minor at all times during the event, per UWM policy on Minor Protection & Adult Leadership.

UWM Union restaurants may be open on Saturday 9/13. Restaurants are located within walking distance on Oakland Avenue!

This is a Wisconsin Tour event!
