2026 WISCONSIN RAPID AND BLITZ STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

RAPID

4 round Swiss System in 2 sections with a time control of Game/25 minutes +3 second increment per move.  Regular ratings will be used for pairings and prizes but event will be quick rated.  Accelerated pairings may be used pending turnout.

Entry Fee: Open:  $30; Reserve (U1200): $25 both by 4/7 or Open:  $35; Reserve (U1200):  $30 later or onsite.  (Online payment fees added on)

Prizes:  Open: $$b/40:  $175-125. A-$100; B-$90; C-$80; D-$70; Under 1200/Unrated-$60

Prizes:  Reserve: $$b/30:  $100-80, U1000-50, Unrated-50

Onsite Registration: 4/11 9:00-9:30 am.

Rounds: 10 am, 11:15 am, 1 pm and 2:15 pm.

For requested byes use rounds 1-4.  One max.

BLITZ

5 round Double Swiss System with a time control of Game/3 minutes +2 second increment per move.  Regular ratings will be used for pairings and prizes but event will be blitz rated.

Entry Fee: $20 by 4/7; $25 later or onsite.  (Online payment fees added on)

Prizes:  $$b/50:  $150-100. A-$90; B-$80; C-$70; D-$60; E-$50; Unrated-$50.

Onsite Registration: 4/11 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Rounds: 4 pm then ASAP.

For requested byes use rounds 5-9 as blitz rounds 1-5 if entering the ‘Rapid’ and ‘Blitz’ section.  One max.
